 How do you get skype to work through your phone? When you call someone on skype or receive a call, sound comes out through the computer right? Well I tried plugging in my phone to get the voices to come through the phone but no luck, are there any settings or something i have to change? The phone jack on your computer is for incoming modem calls, the internal hardware can't produce the signals to run a regular telephone. There are Skype adapters, such as those at: http://www.von-phone.com/skype-adapters.php that does this. It plugs into your USB port and has a jack for your phone(s). You can also buy a skype phone such as the Belkin F1PP010EN-SK Desktop Internet Phone for Skype listed on Amazon.com. This is a skype phone that plugs into your router so you do not need a computer running to get and make calls. |
