Telephone System
![]() Is there a wireless telephone jack system that doesn't need power at the remote site? I have a need for a telephone line in a spot in my home where there is no jack or power outlet. Is there a wireless telephone jack system that wouldn't need a power outlet at the location where I need telephone? There's power located near other telephone jacks, but not the space I need to install the phone line. you are going to have to run a CAT 3 or CAT 5 cable... from the NID to the location that you want the telephone jack to be located... wireless phone jacks act as a transmitter and reciever... the reciever needs power to get the radio signal from the base or transmitter... so any cordless phone system, or cordless phone jack (which i do not ever recommend) will need power at the transmission and recieving point.. |

System Lcd
![]() Desktop CPU connected to my 56" LCD Projection tv, but it is playing sound off the TV speakers, not the system? I have a Home Theater System from Philips [HTS3555], I remembered buying a Monster Cable where it had one connection on one side and the other side had 2 connections. Does anyone have any directions or installation guides to connected the Sound cable to the Monster Cable? Some techs told me to connect the Monster Cable to the DVD player and then you can have the sound come out from the Sound system instead of just the TV speakers. Help please! Ok there is a couple things you can check. 1. If you connect the CPU to the TV directly. Then you will need to run a cable from the TV(audio out port) to the Home Theater system (audio In Port). 2. Hook the video from the CPU to the TV directly and then hook the audio to the Home theater system. (You home theater system has an optical input so this is what you would use for audio input) So 1 cable for video to tv and 1 cable for audio to theater system. NOTE: I'm not sure what your inputs and outputs you have on your TV and CPU. Let me know if you need more assistance. I'll just need those details |
