Wow... how many hours of battery life can you get out of that thing? It's got a powerful graphics card. But the processor is somewhat slow tho...
You may increase the performance by 10% - 15% if you get a 2 gig ram to replace your 1 gig stick. So the two 2 gig sticks can run in parallel.
I'm so excited about AC, I hope I can run it on my Sony Vaio Z when I get it in Sep.

Questions about VOIP?
Hello i thought about buying a phone line but it's too expensive and is not worth because i barely make calls.
So i thought about Voip system but i dont know much about it.
What i understand is: It works with internet and my computer receives the information and i talk with it.
But i heard there are some hardwares to talk using a phone or something that i have to connect it to the modem. If it is true, how much it is?, can i turn my computer off and it still works?
If i barely talk, what do u recommend me to buy (something known and reliable, really cheap)
oh by the way.. what ATA means? and what is the difference with a voip router?
Thanks
yes you heard it right, VOIP is the cheapest thing around.
About VoIP calls from Computer -- you need to download soft phone software and you need a service provider to acquire VOIP account ( a number ) actually.
Hardware -- Yes u can make call even after switching off ur COMPUTER
in this case you need to buy a IP-Phone,
IP-Phone are just like ur normal phone who directly connects to the internet.
ATA and VoIP router -- ATA stands for Analogue Terminal Adaptor , through which u can convert ur own Analogue Phone into VoIP Phone,

Cisco ASA that won't allow L2TP/IPSEC from a Windows Client to off site?
What is the best way to trouble shoot this problem? I have a Windows XP client. The Cisco ATA is set to allow everything out bound and I've ever tried setting up an access rule to allow anything two/from this machine. Is there some way to make windows log what's wrong? The Error is the other end is not answering. I've tried this same laptop offsite and it's able to connect fine.
show version output:
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(3)
Device Manager Version 5.2(2)61
The link to the cisco site seems to be if you wanted to auth to another ASA device. i'm basicly just trying to pass through from a win XP box to a Win2k3 server out on the internet. Interestingly enough, I have no other kinds of VPN issues.
Hey there guy.
I had the same problem. First, do you have SmartNet? If so, call them! This is really what you pay for!
It is in your firewall. You have to specifically allow any to any udp port 4500 and any to any udp isakmp. If you do not see isakmp, you have to change it make it. It is port 500.
Cheers.

hummm....I did a bit more digging. What version of IOS do you have? That may make the difference in this being hard or easy.
The instructions I gave you were for Cisco client, not MS client. Try this out.....
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00807213a7.shtml
I think though, you may want to evaluate how you are connecting to this remote site. I have checked around, and while possible, it is not that easy.

Voip Ata

Ok guys; This is for all you telephony buffs... ?
I was wondering the other day about VOIP and interfacing between Analog phone system (like a 4 pots nortel). Now I've used ATA adapters before but their only good for one or two lines... What if you wanted to convert an entire analog system to VOIP? I've look everywhere for a multiple port ATA adapter (maybe 4 port or more) but can't seem to find anything... Maybe I'm going about the logic the wrong way...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!
It is an expensive way to work. The adaptors are incredibly expensive for more than 2 ports, and the price of 2 port ones makes any number of connections expensive. It is generally much cheaper to simply buy a VOIP system. These are cheaper by far for large numbers of connections. Take a look at the current Panasonic TDA ranges.
