Will adding a third drive help my computer processor speed up?
I have two internal hard drives and am adding an external hard drive. If I primarily utilize this external drive which is enormous (1T), will it help speed up my processor? I am considering transferring all of my large files such as videos, pictures, and music on this 1T drive and using the two internal drives for 'regular computer processing' and small files, like word documents.
Processor speed depends on how many things are being run at once, such as Web browsing, MSN, playing Video files, all these things take up RAM and processor usage.
Adding a new drive will give you storage space not speed.
There are things you can do such as Over clocking of the Processor to increase speed of your CPU. But I wouldn't advise messing with this stuff.
Get a faster CPU if you can and have a Pro install it
